Long time no Bloggy

In the past I have not blogged well... but this is all about to change... Every Sunday afternoon this blog will have a weekly update!!

since the last blog 28 weeks ago I have been pretty busy with work and band stuff, the two usual suspects filling my time. Since the last post I have started playing worship every sunday for church, it has been great! God has really been stirring up a fire in the congregations hearts and also in ours as a worship team... super cool to see that.

Im going to post some band photos and some cool photo's of new gear this sunday as well. This is a short blog but look for a longer one on Sunday!

I love Sue-Age

Long time no speaky ... this last month has been pretty nuts, I am seriously busy ninety-nine percent of the time Im not sleeping.

Today was nice, I got the opportunity to lift off a drainage grate (it was really heavy!) and dive in after some keys... it was great. I even managed to sit in oily nasty water afterward! Good news: the key clicker still works.

Another plus, music is going well. Back in 72 has grown its family by three. We now have Andrew72 on guitar, his wife Katrina and son Tyler. They rock! No pics on this post but maybe next post there will be some.

Tomorrow we will be doing a photo shoot for the myspace and cd sleeves n' such. Should be a blast. We are doing a "stop the noise" photo shoot. Basically we are going to go smash some boomboxes... Office Space style.

Enjoy the post.

Really you should stop reading now.
See the neat slope I am making with words?

Boring Blog Blurb (the B.B.B. post)

This is a boring blog. Nothing new. Just getting bills switched over to my name, insurance and good things like that. I am also actively pursuing the sale of my wheel chair van.... exciting. I want to buy one of these with the money:
Photobucket
I also want to purchase a pair of these:

They are Alien Ears custom molded in ear monitors... yummy

one last thing:

I "forgot" to shave the stache

Back in 72 is officially behind in recording now. we sorta lagged on the last two songs. They are really sounding good though, it is pretty much topped off with an ultra high pitch harmony in our slow worship style song.
Hope all is as well for you as it is for me!

My thoughts and the ghost in a panic room

Today I am at the warehouse working alone, it is great! I have had lots of time in my thoughts and listening to all the beatles #1 hits... way cool. I even checked out the "panic room".

There is this little 8x3 room in a corner at the second story level of the warehouse (above the bathroom) with a cement floor that is uber kreepy... I had to get this sweet two story rolling staircase to check it out! Needless to say I declined getting in, my guess is that the spider count in there is somewhere in the 1k-2k range :-)

also I figured if there was a ghost in the warehouse that would be where it would choose to terrorize me.

The Yellow Scientist moving at the speed of sound is in My Place.... has me hooked

Apparently I am a big coldplay fan... I saw VH1 story tellers with cold play and they are really good! I even wrote a song trying my best to immitate the "Coldplay" sound... I like borrowing from other people like that.

Anyhow, nothing to fun to report, still working and surviving the grueling 6AM mornings of finite math. I do know however that Back in 72's promo cd and band bio ended up in the hands of: Toby Mac, Toby Mac's producer, This guy Phil who runs a production company that put on Spirit West Coast (I already knew Phil), and The Fold. Hopefully someone decides BI72 needs to be on the radio. Please pray.

For work we will be moving into a wherehouse soon, I am stoked! I will soon have an Airplane sized hanger as my office... boy do I feel special.

AFTER THOUGHT: I know I talk about music a lot but that is about all that is going on... weak...

Things are great at home, I am getting over the change thing and learning how to function properly here, I love the way things are going! For a while I wondered if I was making the right choice as to whether or not this is really where God wanted me and IT IS! Exciting things are happening and I feel good about where things are going. School is well and band is well and I think I finally settled down on a church, yummy.

here are some more studio pictures.

12 in 4

Yesterday I layed down my electric guitar tracks for the next three back in 72 songs. I managed to get all three songs done in four hours totaling 12 guitar tracks (four each).

I have had a pretty lazy week all in all. Thursday I didn't work because my mom took over my bosses computer to do some accounting work.... LAME. and today I only really worked an hour, the other three were driving and puting together a both for a trade show. It is good to get paid for doing nothing but... boring

If you live in san Jose or Mo hill or close to there, give me a call, we will hang.

Let us just say...

That I am terrible at keeping a blog!! I swear this time I will try to do better! Things have been crazy, I started school again at DeAnza taking one class... at 7:30 AM!! yuck! I am still working for FlairHair and doing a fantastic job selling and shipping funny hats.
Studio is going well, I have spent about 60 hours tracking and mixing two songs. Only Five more to go...
Onto other good news, i will be trying out a guitar soon for a possible endorsement type deal(when I say possible I mean I can't tell you because there is no written agreement). the company is Brazenguitars.com I will be trying the Dynasty P-90 Deluxe.
Fun news, the mullet is disgusting.

Also, My grandmother passed away on June 18, 2008 at the old age of 93. Big Mom died of a Massive Heart attack, it was quick and painless. She was truly a great lady, I enjoyed getting to know her as well as I did, and will never forget the Life lessons I learned from her. I got the privilege sending her off at the funeral mass with "My Chains are Gone" which I used to play for her.

On a bright note, she did leave me the wheelchair van in the will.... Im not gonna lie, it is pretty pimp! but if you want to buy it... :-)

second Blog of the day

definitely just spent all morning (morning meaning 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM) at coffee and I realized just how small our town REALLY is. I got the chance to hang out with these people:
Joe, Nate, Marta, Taylor, Emilie, Elizabet, Joes's GF, Nick, Matt and a few people that walked up I didn't know.

My dad the crook

My dad just walked in and holds both hands in the air with peace signs and says... "I am not a crook!" I'm thinking that is the sign of a guilty man. The last person to do that was Richard "Dick" Nixon when leaving the presidential office...

Lazy weekend, happy memorial day AKA not go to work day as well! God bless y'all and love your neighbor (even if they are "enemies") as yourself.

Howdy Howdy

Long time no speaky! So I have been pretty busy this week and didn't get much time to write anything... And I don't have much to say.

I've been learning the ropes at work and I am feeling very confident with my job now, I can't believe all the stuff that goes into a small business!

Tay Tay ( Drummer of B.I.72) and I have been getting together and playing to a metronome and rehearsing for the studio in two weeks, it has been really fun though sometimes a bit frustrating. We also finished two new songs, one of which is very much Christ focused and how he has affected our lives so I am stoked to get that one down on tape ( or hard drive... whatev).

So that is pretty much my life, work, write, play music, sleep. It works well. and this is for Carrie-Anne: I miss you!!

More Blogs to come today or tomorrow, Ive been really busy with work, cleaning (trying to make my room inhabitable) and the band!

I am a proud owner of this beast Gibson SG Classic :-) out of bordem after work I stopped by the Guitar store and found this guitar used for 700. They stopped making them and I really liked it.... so in true guitarist form I purchased it the next day!
